Waypoint Team
The Waypoint Team came together in late April for another team picnic. We were excited to welcome our new team members, Chad Perbeck and Becca Reimnitz, who both joined Waypoint in March. We met at Corte Madera Town Park and enjoyed a fun afternoon filled with games, friendly competition, good food, and meeting our newest team members in person for the first time. We appreciate any chance we get to safely connect as a team through this pandemic.

Annette
Annette and Adrian spent the first months of the year cooking, reading, doing house projects, continuing to hike the hills of Marin and even rediscovered Angel Island. “We have a great view of Angel Island from our home but haven’t been there in over 10 years. Everywhere you turned the views were spectacular, we highly recommend a visit!” And as soon as they got their vaccines in April, they headed to Portland for a reunion with Adrian’s family and LOTS of hugs. “It was wonderful to be together, knowing we were all vaccinated and feeling safe to be in close proximity. We won’t ever take that for granted again!”

Chuck
Chuck and his daughter Genevieve drove to Moab Utah and spent spring break exploring Arches and Canyonlands National Park with their not so small puppy Agnew.

Courtney
2021 has been great so far for the Hutchinson crew. They are continuing to enjoy their outdoor activities each week with more beach time and finding new hiking trails. Riley seems to enjoy the outdoors just as much as her sister and everyone is looking forward to seeing friends and family soon.

Jesse
Jesse and Matthias (and their dog Kona!) packed up their life into their Subaru Outback, and hit the road! They are spending the months of February-May in New Orleans, where they are making the most of remote working. After a couple months in the Big Easy they have eaten King Cake, experienced a COVID Mardi Gras, found the best po’ boy, kayaked with alligators, and seen LOTS of live music. They are lucky enough to live right next door to one of the most active porch concert venues in the neighborhood and have been able to enjoy many great bands from their front porch swing. But do not worry – they’ll be running away from the Louisiana summers and back on the West Coast soon!

Becca
Becca started this year off by doing some local traveling throughout California. She went to Big Sur and then Santa Barbara to see family. She also spent time in Mammoth with her childhood best friend cooking and exploring the beautiful mountains. Below are some photos she took while snowshoeing at the Obsidian Dome, located just outside Mammoth Lakes, which erupted in 1350 CE.

Rania
Rania continues to use the flexibility of working remotely to explore different cities. For the month of February, she stayed at a beachfront condo in Oceanside, a small town 30 minutes north of San Diego. While there, she enjoyed daily beach walks, hiking, kayaking, and cooking fresh caught seafood. Her favorite daily tradition was to finish the day by watching the beautiful sunset, drinking wine, and enjoying the sound of the crashing waves on the shore. She continues to look forward to creating more of these special memories.

Avelina
As the weather starts to warm up Avelina is looking forward to Spring and Summer and getting back to traveling when it is safe to do so. She recently spent some time in Northern California at the Yuba River, “It was the most beautiful, clear river I’ve ever seen! I only wish it were warm enough that day to take a swim.” Avelina has also been exploring local areas such as Half Moon Bay and Pacifica, and even a trip to the city to have a nice outdoor meal with friends she had not seen in over a year!
