Waypoint Team
The Waypoint Team got together at the end of July for a work retreat at their office in San Francisco. Following the retreat, they gathered at the San Francisco Wine Society where they played bocce ball and enjoyed some delicious food and wine pairings. It was a great way to get together for some team building and friendly competition!

Annette
Annette’s trek to Nepal in September was pushed to 2022 so she made some quick back up plans and headed to Rancho La Puerta for a week with girlfriends and then spent the following week in Mendocino with Adrian. “I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful break to truly relax and recharge. Both places offered incredible natural beauty and lots of unstructured time to get out and enjoy it. Such a blessing!”

Chuck
After dropping off daughter Genevieve at University of Wisconsin in Madison for her freshman year, Chuck headed to the Rocky Mountains to begin his transition to being an empty nester. While he enjoyed hiking, biking and exploring Leadville, CO on his own, the highlight was a visit from his son CJ (Jr. @ Case Western in Cleveland) and bagging some 14,000-foot peaks together.

Courtney
July, August and September were busy but fun months for the Hutchinson family! July was their first trip as a family of four and they ventured down to Pacific Grove to have some beach and hiking fun. In August, Ella turned 4, Riley turned 1 and Ella had her first day of pre-school. At the end of September and into early October, they did a family trip to Tahoe. It was the first time there for everyone except Courtney and everyone had a wonderful time.

Jesse
Jesse said YES! Her boyfriend, Matthias, proposed on a hike in a secluded forest outside Portland, Oregon, and they are so excited to start this new chapter of their lives together. They don’t know when the wedding will happen, because they’re waiting until all their family and friends can safely celebrate in-person. For now, please join us in congratulating the happy couple in their engagement!

Becca
Becca spent two weeks working from Mammoth Lakes this quarter. During her stay, she experienced a lot of bear activity at the house she was staying at. Multiple times throughout her stay a momma bear and her two cubs tried to break into the home! These are photos from her hikes to Duck Lake (10,482 ft. elevation) and Dead’s Man Pass (8,047 ft. elevation).

Rania
This summer, Rania stayed close to home and used it as an opportunity to explore the multitude of beautiful hikes in our backyard. Her favorites are those with sweeping views of the ocean or ones that lead to a beach. Given that there are endless trails to explore in the greater Bay Area, she sees this as a lifelong exploration of the surrounding area and beyond.

Avelina
Q3 was a time for big changes! Avelina relocated from San Bruno to Sacramento, CA with her partner Tyler. “We were hesitant to leave the bay area after calling it home for the past 10 years, but we took a chance and were glad we made the move!” They are loving their new place in Sacramento and already exploring the surrounding areas such as Auburn, CA as the winter unfolds. Avelina is also looking forward to traveling to San Francisco on a regular basis for team events and meetings.
