Archived - New office, new puppy, more travels, continued community

This summer Waypoint Wealth Partners moved to a larger office suite on the 25th floor of the same office building. They celebrated with an open house, attended by many clients and friends.


On Sept. 8, Chuck and Justin golfed for a good cause when they played in the FPA East Bay fourth-Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Roundhill Country Club. Proceeds benefited Oakland Financial Planning Day, Foundation for Financial Planning and FPA East Bay Scholarship Awards, which is a $1,500 scholarship to pay for expenses related to attaining the CFP® credential or attending an FPA Residency Program.


Chuck attended the Family Wealth Advisors Council meeting in Cleveland in July. Founded in 1981, FWAC is a national network of independent, fee-only wealth management firms that collectively manage more than $3 billion in assets.


Meet the newest member of the Brinton family, Casey Jones! The six-month old Tibetan Terrier is settling into Sausalito life beautifully.   


Courtney and her boyfriend, TJ, ran the Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon in July. It was a beautiful trek through the wine country. “It was fun to run through the picturesque scenery and finish in Sonoma Plaza with great weather and great friends.”


In June, Chuck, son C.J. and daughter Genny traveled to YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch in Colorado to attend a Bowes family reunion. There were 70-plus Bowes in attendance. The weekend was filled with fishing, climbing, biking, singing and family tales.


Annette and Adrian enjoyed a summer vacation in Europe. They started in London then headed north to Yorkshire for the Grand Départ of the Tour de France and then went to Stockholm to visit good friends, sail and watch lots of World Cup soccer!


Courtney enjoyed two great family trips this summer. First, she celebrated the Fourth of July in Priest Lake, Idaho, with scenic hiking, boating and fireworks. In August, she visited Long Island. On her trip, she spent time at the beach, tried her first East Coast lobster roll and climbed to the top of the Montauk lighthouse.


Chuck celebrated his 50th birthday (a year-plus late) by heading to Nicaragua with a group of childhood buddies. They re-created their SoCal years by surfing some massive waves, getting sandy and lounging in hammocks. Chuck came home relaxed, rejuvenated and refreshed – a true vacation.
